Doing this update for anyone that finds themselves at 40 weeks and are only 1cm dilated. My OB checked my cervix for the first time today and said I was only a fingertip dilated (0.5cm). I thought I'd be further along by now since I see a lot of….With my first, I was 3cm and 70% effaced for a full month before going into labor. I did have him 4 days early though. Went into labor at 37+1, at hospital was 2 after 2 days of contractions, and then had to have a c section because baby was transverse.Following.
