They have been reliable for many years. I have owned 3 of the newer bikes in the last 10 years and not a single problem with any of them.Original was a superbike, with plenty of engine choices, with ergonomics better for every day. The new Streetfighter is wahs the Monster used to be, Ducati's naked superbike. All generations of ducati you could even confortabily ride with pilion, something the new clearly isn't. 1.

I would consider the Ducati Scrambler a bit different category than the XSR900 and BMW R NineT, however. The scrambler is air cooled and significantly lower HP than the other two which are liquid cooled (75hp ducati vs ~115hp for the other two). Street vs 1100 Evo, I'd go Evo but understand that Triumph maintenance in those years is closer to Japanese bike maintenance. The Ducati will require more attention and more expensive service costs.
