Marlin 795 discontinued
My first .22 was a Marlin 795. I had to send it back to the factory because the dovetail scope mount is cast as part of the receiver. The factory new one I bought from a big box store was canted left about 30 degrees! Marlin sent me a brand new replacement and it had the same problem, just to a lesser extent. Sold it and bought a 10/22.The Marlin number for that magazine is 407135, which is the one that ships with new 795s. Midway's price isn't bad -- $25.99 as oppposed to $30 at Brownell's -- but it looks to me like the Marlin 707135 on Brownell's list, is exactly the same magazine.
