The intervention delivery can but does not necessarily have to be a consequence of intervention design. When delivering an intervention to the community it can be done in different ways, with different levels of: (2.1) resources; (2.2) engagement; and (2.3) participation. Often the delivery is as important as the design. Community engagement (CE) interventions include a range of approaches to involve communities in the improvement of their health and wellbeing. Working with communities defined by location or some other shared interest, these interventions may be important in assisting equity and reach of communicable disease control (CDC) in low and lower-middle income countries (LLMIC).
