Application Requirements. To apply to the Canfield Business Honors Program, you must: Complete the steps listed in order to apply to the McCombs School of Business.; After you start your ApplyTexas or Common application (having listed "Unspecified Business" as your first choice major), you will be able to select that you are interested in honors and answer the honors essay prompt(s). Through the Gies Business Honors Programs, high-potential students receive enhanced academic experiences and opportunities to build meaningful relationships with the College, the campus, and beyond. About 60-70 incoming freshmen are selected to be James Scholars, and between 35 and 40 are invited to join the more selective Gies Scholar Program. The College of Business Honors Program Capstone enables junior and senior undergraduate students to pursue a track of excellence of their choice required for graduation. These tracks include, but are not limited to: Work with a research-active faculty member in a business department of choice.
