2017 dodge durango starter location
Jun 21, 2017 · 2017 R/T clicking noise at start up. He has noticed when he starts it there is a loud tick, click that happens, almost sounds like one of those lighters you would use to light a grile. Noise is more common at cool/cold start. Noise is coming from around the suitcase area of the exhaust. I think it is just a new exhaust noise. If the hood is open, ajar, or the switch under it is defective, the start/stop is disabled at least until the next key cycle even after the hood is closed correctly. If this is case, you'll see an "A" inside a circle, with a "!" just to the right of it --- and likely, of course, a "hood open" alert icon alongside of it.The starter was replaced to to my surprise it still doesn't even want to crank. Alt and batt were replaced together less than a year ago. battery sits at 12.6 volts. When the key is in the run position I can hear and feel a loud clicking from the ASD relay. Swapped it out and the new one clicks the same and it doesn't want to even try and start.
